About Us

Hi! Welcome to Wilder Ranch Corgis. Our names are Ashley and Cody Olsen. We have been married for over 10 years and have 4 amazing kids together. We are originally from Arizona but have relocated to a beautiful home on 20 acres in Northern California where our kids and dogs run wild and free. I am a stay at home mom who homeschools our kids so our dogs get around the clock love, attention, and care. My love for dogs (who am I kidding?! ALL animals!) started when I was in elementary school when my dad bred and raised Golden Retrievers. While I do love my goldens, I have fallen head over heels for the corgi breed for many reasons- not only are they the best family dogs but they are extremely intelligent, loyal, and they have without a doubt earned their keep on our small ranch with our livestock. All of our corgis reside here at our home and are cherished members of our family.

About Wilder Ranch Corgis

At Wilder Ranch Corgis we raise AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis and CKC American Corgis. All of our corgi parents were carefully chosen to be apart of our program. Meaning all of our parents and all of their puppies are tested against DM, EIC, and vWD1. None of our dogs will ever be at risk of DM, EIC, and vWD1. DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) is a progressive and fatal spinal cord disease. EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse) is a genetic neuromuscular disorder that causes muscle weakness and potential collapse after strenuous exercise. vWD1 (von Willebrand Disease Type 1) is an inherited bleeding disorder that is caused by a mutation in the von Willebrand Factor (vWF) gene, which produces a protein essential for blood clotting. So being triple clear, none of our puppies will be genetically at risk for DM, EIC, or vWD1. All of our puppies will come with a 1 year genetic health guarantee, limited registration, a wellness exam with our vet, all age appropriate deworming and vaccines, 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion, a going home bag full of goodies to ensure a smooth transition with their new family, and lifetime breeder support.

"Bringing home my corgi puppy from Wilder Ranch Corgis has been one of the most meaningful and positive experiences I've ever had. From the very beginning, Ashley was kind, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to walk me through everything I needed to know about the breed, including common health concerns and how she's made ethical choices in her breeding practices to prevent them. You can tell right away how much she genuinely cares about her dogs. When I met June, I was immediately struck by how affectionate and well-adjusted she was. Ashley welcomed me to her farm, showed me where the puppies were raised, and sat with me for over an hour just talking in the grass. It felt so personal and sincere, like catching up with someone l'd known for a long time. She even worked around my schedule so I could meet June while I was nearby, instead of making the long drive from home. June came home already crate trained and had clearly been exposed to kids, farm animals, other dogs, and cats. She adjusted so smoothly to my my home and has bonded beautifully with my basset hound, Harry, and my cats. Within one week, she learned sit, lay down, come, "crate," "exit," speak, touch (nose to hand), and responds to her name and the word "yes" as a marker. She sleeps through the night in her crate, naps during the day, and is almost completely potty trained. She's loving, playful, super smart, and incredibly food-motivated. She cuddles with us, gets excited to meet new people, and plays so well with our other pets. Ashley made the whole transition easier by sending June home with food that lasted several days, a scented blanket from her mom and littermates, a toy, puppy pads, poop bags, and 30 days of free health insurance. She's also checked in with me almost every day since we brought June home, just to see how she's doing or offer support. She even mailed all of June's documentation and continued to be warm and helpful through everything. I truly believe Ashley puts her whole heart into raising these puppies and making sure they go to homes where they'll be loved and cared for. Her kindness, her honesty, and her dedication stood out from the start, and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'll absolutely stay in touch with her and her family. If you're looking for a loving, responsible breeder who truly cares, I can't recommend Wilder Ranch Corgis enough."
